Since 1993, Shapiro & Co. has been providing quality, personalized tax and financial guidance to individuals and businesses. Shapiro & Co.'s expertise ranges from basic tax management and accounting services to more in-depth services such as tax and financial planning, consultation on management decisions, and compilation of financial statements.

Our Team
Ron Shapiro, CPA
Ron is the President and managing shareholder of the firm which he founded in 1993 with his father Irving Shapiro. Ron gained valuable experience working with his father's previous firms prior to forming Shapiro & Co.. His experience includes audits for hospitals, client representation for income tax and sales tax audits, litigation support including expert witness testimony, due diligence and tax planning for sales and acquisitions of businesses, and multi-state tax preparation. Ron has extensive experience working closely with individuals and small and medium sized business owners on tax and accounting matters in a wide variety of industries including restaurants, import/export, professional practices, retail, mortgage brokers, manufacturing, and entertainment. Ron is a graduate of San Diego State University and is a member of The California Society of Certified Public Accountants. 
Tam Dang, CPA
Since joining the firm in 1998, Tam focuses on accounting for small and medium sized businesses, tax preparation and tax planning for corporations, LLCs, LLPs, trusts, non-profits, and individuals, and QuickBooks consulting. Tam has years of experience working with clients in many industries including restaurants, professional services, wholesale, contractors, non-profits, property management, and personal services. We are a family oriented firm, and therefore; we can cater to family owned businesses for their accounting needs and advise them and their family on tax matters. Tam graduated from University of California, San Diego and earned a Master of Science in taxation from San Diego State University. On January 1, 2009 Tam became a shareholder of Shapiro & Co. and the Vice President of the firm. He is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Vy Pham, CPA
Vy has worked at Shapiro & Co. since 2002 where she has a great amount of experience in accounting for small businesses and tax preparation and tax planning for corporations, LLC's, partnerships, trusts, non-profit organizations, and individuals. She has worked in many industries including restaurants, professional services, property management, personal services, wholesale, and retail. Vy graduated Summa Cum Laude from San Diego State University with a B.S. degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. She is also a member of the California Society of CPA's and the international business honor society, Beta Gamma Sigma.
Leah Morales, EA
Sloane Briles, CPA
Sloane began with Shapiro and Company as a student accountant in 2016. Since then, he graduated from California State University, San Marcos in 2017 and passed the CPA exam in 2018. Before going back to school, he worked in many aspects of the mortgage industry including sales and underwriting. His focus has been tax preparation and accounting services for small business, trust, and personal clients. Sloane previously served in the United States Marine Corps.
